Splitify is a shared ledger designed to help you track informal debts, expenses, and bills with friends, colleagues, and family. The Service also enables tracking of personal expenses, bank-linked transactions, and investment holdings imported from linked financial accounts. Additionally, the Service includes an AI-powered chat feature that allows you to query and receive insights about your financial data. The Service is provided "AS-IS" and on an "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We may modify or stop offering features at any time.
4. Informal Debts & No Warranty
You acknowledge that bills, IOUs, and payments recorded on Splitify are informal records and do not create legally binding contracts. We are not a party to any transaction or agreement between users. Splitify does not represent that the Service is error-free or complete. You are using the Service at your own risk. WE DISCLAIM ANY WARRANTY, IMPLIED OR OTHERWISE, REGARDING THE SERVICE, INCLUDING WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
5. AI-Powered Features & No Financial Advice
The Service includes AI-powered features, including an AI chat assistant, that generate responses based on your financial data using third-party artificial intelligence models. These AI-generated outputs are provided for informational and educational purposes only and do not constitute financial, investment, tax, legal, or other professional advice.
You acknowledge and agree that:
- AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated;
- You should not rely on AI-generated outputs as a basis for making financial or investment decisions;
- You are solely responsible for any actions you take based on information provided by the Service; and
- Splitify is not a financial advisor, broker, or fiduciary, and owes no fiduciary duty to you.
You should consult a qualified professional before making any financial or investment decisions. SPLITIFY EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL LIABILITY FOR ANY LOSSES, DAMAGES, OR COSTS ARISING FROM YOUR RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED CONTENT.
6. User Accounts & Responsibilities
You must provide accurate and current information when creating your account. You are responsible for all content (e.g., expense descriptions, comments, and receipt images) that you post. You agree to represent yourself honestly and not to impersonate others. You are responsible for safeguarding your account and preventing unauthorized access.
7. Conditions of Use & Content Standards
You agree to use Splitify only for its intended purpose and in compliance with all applicable laws. You will not use the Service for any fraudulent, manipulative, or illegal activity, including money laundering. You may not post content that is obscene, hateful, invasive of privacy, or incites violence. We reserve the right to remove content and terminate accounts that violate these standards.
8. Privacy and Security
We care about your privacy. Our Privacy Policy details how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. You must agree to the processing of your data as described in our Privacy Policy to use our Service.
9. Limitation of Liability
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL SPLITIFY OR ITS OPERATORS BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY FINANCIAL LOSSES INCURRED AS A RESULT OF ACTING UPON AI-GENERATED CONTENT, INSIGHTS, OR RECOMMENDATIONS PROVIDED BY THE SERVICE.

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. You agree that any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Chennai.
